WAKE UP (4 AM) CALL: The Hustle

Yes. I wake up at 4 A.M.

No. This isn't ideal.

Do I love it? Sometimes.

You see, I just graduated from Marist College and now I'm working as an Associate Producer. I am beyond lucky and excited to be back in NYC. Since I work for a morning show and still live at home, I get into the city around 6:15 A.M.. Then I have a little more of a commute via subway to get to my office.

Five days a week, it's tiring, there is no hiding that. What have I learned though? It's all about perspective.

It was yesterday, that I realized it's the way you look at it. It's when you realize that you're not alone. If I look around, at 6:30 A.M., 8:30 A.M., or quite frankly any hour of the day - we are all hustling to be the best version of ourselves.

That person walking down the city was up all night with their sick 4-year-old, that businessman hasn't taken a day off in a long time, and that Starbucks employee that so kindly made me an Iced Caramel Macchiato with a smile on his face at 6:30 A.M. . . . he got up at 3 A.M. to commute from Brooklyn to Manhattan to open the store at 5:15 A.M.

You never know what's going on behind the scenes. You never know whose hustling. We are doing something, trying to get somewhere, trying to be someone.

It's important to make the hustle worth it, and be proud of who you are each step of the way.

P.S. I Love You...
